Rimcorp provided the construction project with Construction Services Management of support services and infrastructure via the Package Manager for Infrastructure  and the Construction Services Manager roles.

These roles combined oversaw the deliver of critical support infrastructure and construction shared services integral to the delivery of 206km of narrow gauge rail line from the Carmichael Mine to the Aurizon line connection near Glenden and included the following: 

  • Construction of 3 rail camps totalling 1,100 rooms; 
  • Camp operations and maintenance management of 1,100 on corridor rooms and 600 off corridor rooms. 
  • Construction and operation of the water network including tanks, turkey nests and pumps supplying construction water to 4 major work fronts across 206km. 
  • Logistics management of rail steel, sleepers, ballast and quarried materials from ports of supply to construction laydown or work front placement.  
  • Construction of 206km water supply pipeline and 7 pump stations. 
  • Establishment and oversight of quarries and borrows supplying fill and engineered rock products.
  • Oversight and management of all construction fuel supply and dispensing infrastructure.
