Carmichael Coal Mine Project

Rimcorp provided various resources during differing stages of the Project, its operational readiness and then operations phases. 

The Manager Mine Projects was provided within the owners team and was responsible for the delivery oversight of: 

• 96km Mine Access Road construction 
• Aerodrome upgrade to enable larger FIFO aviation aircraft 
• 3GL Mine affected water storage construction 
• 35km Mine operations water network including 50ML dam and dewatering bore field construction
• Minor capital works program
• Operation of quarry supplying engineered rock products for mine construction

During Operational readiness and for the first 2 years of mine operations an Operations Enabling Services Manager was seconded to the operation to oversee the: 

• Site Integrated Facilities Management of a 600 room village and a 300 room camp and all utilities operations and maintenance. 
• Water supply agreements and operations and maintenance of offsite 206km water supply network and onsite water control infrastructure 
• FIFO aviation services including fixed wing and helicopter operations 
• All personnel logistics oversight of FIFO, Bussing and accommodation allocations. 

During the project and operations phases Rimcorp supplied short term support resources in construction supervision and operations superintendence.
